Is the free tier really free forever?
Yes! The Explorer (Free) tier is completely free forever with no credit card required. You get 30 AI Tutor messages and 20 Guru 1.5 messages every month, plus unlimited access to all courses and learning tools. We believe everyone should have access to quality AI-powered education.
When will paid plans be available?
Currently all features are free during our beta period. Paid plans (Premium, Pro, and Enterprise) will launch after we complete beta testing and gather user feedback. Early adopters who sign up during beta will receive special discounts when paid plans launch!
What's the difference between Guru 1.5 and Guru 2.5?
Guru 1.5 (Free tier) uses Claude 3 Haiku - fast and cost-effective for basic questions and learning support. Guru 2.5 (Premium+ tiers) uses Claude Sonnet 4.5 - our most powerful AI with advanced reasoning, code execution, multi-modal support, and extended context for complex problems. Think of 1.5 as your study buddy and 2.5 as your expert mentor.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Absolutely! You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime with no penalties or fees. When you upgrade mid-month, you'll get immediate access to higher tier features and only pay the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed my message limit?
When you reach your monthly Guru AI message limit, you'll receive a notification. You can either wait until your next billing cycle resets (messages refresh monthly), upgrade to a higher tier for more messages, or continue using the unlimited AI Tutor for basic questions (available on Premium+ plans). We'll never cut you off mid-conversation!
Do you offer student discounts?
Yes! Students with valid .edu email addresses get 20% off Premium and Pro plans. That's just $7.99/month for Premium and $15.99/month for Pro. Verify your student status during signup to unlock your discount. The discount applies to both monthly and annual billing.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and PayPal. For Enterprise plans, we also offer invoicing with NET30 payment terms. All payments are processed securely through Stripe with bank-level encryption.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
